Hi Everybody, I was searching for "Mathurs in Singapore" and came across this site. I don't think that we have any community as such in Singapore. I would like that all "Mathurs" here should meet regularly and should contribute to community building. Please reach me tanishmathur@juliusbaer.com to take it further. Thanks!!!

Are there castes among Mathurs? Because I am Ujjani, and told that I am belonging to a very high caste. My father do not want me to marry anyone but Ujjani. Why it is there is casting? I think all Mathur family is Ek, not Ulug-Ulug. My father is Scientist and he needs proof so anything to show false casting will help. Thank you.

Bonds between school & college friends are often so deep, that even after a long interval, if you meet someone of those glorious years, it sort of revives you with almost childlike joy. The story of Mr. Gyandeep Mathur of Dammam (KSA) and his wife are similar. Who otherwise would search the lanes of Allahabad for a long-lost friend lost 5 decades back !
I traced my school mates of Bombay(30 yrs after), by tracing my old school on the net and posting a message. Sure enough, after sometime contact was established and now we are building upon it.
Mr. Gyandeep, why don't you try the website of Govt. College Allahabad and give it a shot. By the way, how's your wife? wish her a speedy recovery.
Jai Hind.

I more than agree with Prabhat of Jaipur. Unity in itself contains inherent potential. It is a vehicle to generate movement to achieve any substantial goal, and yes sometimes it will help also in establishing the worthiness and validity of the goal.
We need to utilize the platform "Mathur world" has provided us in this direction (hats-off to them for their excellent approach).
NB : I am yet to receive help to reach Kirti (pl. see my message posted on 05/05/2008).
All success to Kayasthas,
Gyan.

I saw a message from Ms Maya from Ratlam on this message board. I too have strong feelings about what's happening, with everybody clamoring for reservation quotas based on their 'strengths & numbers', and not on 'weaknesses' which was what reservations was all about.
It's no good any more, sitting on a high moral stool and lamenting about the unfairness about it all. Our future generations will curse us from the bottom of the social heap that they will surely be in.
I see messages from people in USA, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Europe, all very well settled and contended ,and with not an iota of concern about where our community is heading. That's the level of political enlightenment that we have. We call ourselves literate and socially aware, but we are novices as compared to others. Communities have often been led by people who have attained a certain status and who have a vision and plan for the future. That's what is missing here.
I wish all Kayasths, whether Saxenas, Sinhas, Mathurs, Bhatnagars etc., realise what's happening around them and get together on a strong platform to really introspect and plan for the future. And of course as everywhere, it is the youth who should be on the forefront. They have the energy to give shape to a national movement. High sounding it may be, but prove me wrong!
Sorry to have taken your time, but I thought maybe I can find somebody who is concerned.
Jai Hind,.

Your effort is worthy of praise for the great humanitarian service by providing excellent help and support through this site. I wish and pray for all the success. While proceeding on a short visit to India I promised my wife Kamla to find out her friend and classmate (Govt. Girls College1961-64) Kirti Mathur, resident of Roshan Bagh, Allahabad. But I got shocked when I went to Allahabad and was so sorry to see their house disappeared demolished & no one to tell whereabouts of Kirti. It was an emotional disaster when I told this to Kamla and I did not realize that Kamla has so deep emotional attachment with Kirti, Kamla suffered a nervous breakdown. I humbly appeal for kind help if any one knows whereabouts of Kirti Mathur of Roshan Bagh, Allahabad. Kirti's telephone number and address will enable me to save my wife. I wish Kirti herself may be reading this message.

Regards to all Mathurs and all Kayastha community, I had posted a massage before but I need attention of all Kayastha on a matter don’t u feel that we Kayathas are lees in population in M.P. I mean we are in minority, as we all know that Jain and other casts are taking advantage on the point, once I hard that soon Brahmin will also goanna to be add in reservation coat, than why not Kayasthas, we are also facing the problems or I can say punishment to be in general category not in obc or pichda vara ..
Government is just injustice to us, and it is just because we belong to a literal society, is it fair??????? I strongly believe it is not, it is the time to start a moment, a new revolution ...I invite views and ideas on matter.

My warm and sincere good wishes for all. I chanced upon this site and could not but help browsing through the contents. I congratulate the people and their efforts to put this site. Indeed a very good effort, and sincerely hope it sustains. I am the youngest of a family of four. I stay with my parents, Shri S.N. Mathur, IPS (retd). He is from the first batch of IPS (1948) and has the rare honour of having held concurrently the charges of Director Intelligence Bureau, Director CBI, as well as Director R&AW. My great grandfather, Shri Ram Gopal, was awarded the title of 'Rai Bahadur', by King George V himself, at his court, for meritorious services rendered as the Chief Medical Officer, Poonch (J&K). He was also the physician to His Highness, Shri Sukhdev Singh ji. My mother Smt Prem Lata, belongs to Patiala. Her grandfather, Shri Basheshwar Sarup was the Diwan to the Maharaja of Patiala. My wife, Sangeeta comes from Lucknow. Her mother belongs to the Bali-family of Daryabad.

My eldest sister teaches at a reputed public school in Delhi, and is married into one of the oldest families of Delhi. My jijaji sahib, an IAS officer holds the rank of Secretary to the Government of India. My eldest brother, is an Orthopaedic surgeon, and has set up a 75-bed hospital at Ludhiana. His wife comes from a reputed family of Benares. My elder brother, is a financial consultant based in Delhi. His wife comes again from the Maharaja Lal family of Delhi.

I do design layouts of books for some of the leading publishers. I am most proud of the rich traditions and culture, that we have in our families, and would certainly like to carry it on. Once again, warm, sincere good wishes for all. Jai Ram ji ki.
